The pay TV channel Food Network has arrived to the Mexican market with triple play operator Totalplay (Grupo Salinas), Scripps Networks Interactive announced through a press release.
“The launch of Food Network in Mexico marks an important milestone for the company, since we are entering one of the biggest, most progressive and promising markets for our brand,” said Eduardo Hauser, General Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean of Scripps Networks Interactive.
This way, the channel increases its distribution in Latin America. Recently, it was added to Movistar Chile. Food Network was first launched in the region in Brazil, in November 2014, and then expanded its presence after launching in DirecTV Latin America.
The network is part of Scripps Networks, and shows original Latin American productions as well as international shows, cooking competitions, tips and tricks and cooking techniques. The company claims to have over 8 million subscribers in the region.
