F1 delays launch of its OTT service

Formula 1 has delayed the launch of its new streaming service, according to Autosport. The main category of motorsport planned to roll out the platform during the Australian Grand prix, last weekend, but instead it decided to start a testing phase to improve the service.
“We will do a stress test/beta test session during the Melbourne weekend with the aim to be fully operational as soon as possible,” a spokesperson told Autosport before the beginning of the new season. “It’s a normal process when you develop a new product”, the person added.
Formula 1 announced the launch of its streaming service earlier this month. The premium subscription model, called F1 TV Pro, will initially be available in most of Latin America, as well as in the United States, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria and Hungary.
