DirecTV Latin America loses 56 thousand TV users in the first quarter

The satellite TV operator DirecTV, owned by the US company AT&T, totaled 13.57 million TV subscribers in its total base in Latin America (does not take into account the operation of Sky Mexico) at the end of the first three months of this 2018. In this way, the DTH suffers a quarterly drop of 56 thousand subscribers, according to the latest report presented by the company.

These figures mean a loss of 0.41% in relation to the last period of 2017. There is also a fall with respect to the first quarter of last year, in this case of 0.77%.

In addition, AT&T reported that DirecTV’s TV operation in Latin America recorded revenues of USD 1.35 billion during the first period of the year, which represents a growth of 0.97% when compared to the same quarter of 2017.
