Caribbean telecommunications company Digicel announced it had reached trade agreements with the US programmers NBCUniversal and CBS Studios International to incorporate content to the IPTV service offered by Digicel Play in Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados.
CBS contents include shows such as Dr. Phil, The Late Show with Steven Colbert, 60 Minutes, America’s Next Top Model, The Insider, Jeopardy, The Good Wife, Survivor and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. NBCUniversal’s programming has the Law & Order and Real Housewives franchises, House and The Office, among others. In addition, it will launch Bravo HD channel, also owned by NBCUniversal.
“It keeps getting better and better for Digicel Play customers. We have done our research and are committed to providing our customers with a line-up to keep them engaged and entertained on broadband, mobile or TV”, stated the CEO of the operator for the Caribbean and Central America, John Suranyi, in a press release.
