Comcast to bundle Netflix into cable packages

Comcast announced an expansion of its partnership with Netflix. The US largest pay TV operator will start offering a Netflix subscription in new and existing Xfinity packages.
As part of the deal, Comcast will launch a variety of initial offers this month that include a Netflix subscription. Netflix-related billing will be handled directly by Comcast, giving customers one, simple monthly statement, the company said in a release.
In 2016, Comcast partnered with Netflix to add the streaming giant offer into the X1 platform, which gives customers direct access to the Netflix service and also offers features such as voice control, among others. According to Comcast, Netflix has quickly become one of the most popular voice searches and highly-viewed services on the platform.
“Netflix is a great partner, and we are excited to offer its services to our customers in new ways that provide them with more choice, value and flexibility. The seamless integration of Netflix with the vast Xfinity entertainment library on X1 present a unique and comprehensive experience for customers,” said Sam Schwartz, Chief Business Development Officer of Comcast Cable.
