Claro Video plans to produce more content in Peru

Claro Video plans to create more content in Peru, where they see streaming as an additional channel to the pay TV offer. Claro’s Deputy Director of Residential Market, Roberto Bellido, said that the company has already produced series in Mexico, and now they are interested in the Peruvian market, Gestión reported.
In the country, Claro Video has already co-produced the movie “Sobredosis de amor” together with Container Producciones. The film, directed by Jesús Álvarez Betancourt, will premiere on Thursday, March 22. After its premiere in the main movie theaters, it will also be available on Claro Video platform, along with other content related to the film.
“People want to watch content where they are, on the smartphone, tablet and other devices via streaming,” said the executive. In addition, Bellido said the company does not rule out new partnerships with other local producers to increase the offer of local content.
“Sobredosis de amor” stars Gian Piero Díaz, Renzo Schuller and Gianella Neyra. The film tells the story of three childhood friends living together in an apartment.
