Claro Sports and the Spanish newspaper Marca announced the launch of the sports news site Marca Claro as part of an editorial alliance that aims to become the reference of sports information in Latin America.
Marca Claro will offer coverage of local and international sports. Both companies will initially work on an edition for Mexico, but during the year, specific editions will be launched for Colombia, Brazil and other countries, with local content production for the region.
The platform will feature specific sections of national and foreign soccer, and motorsports, as well as providing large spaces to sports with greater roots in the American continent, such as baseball, the NBA, MMA, UFC, NFL and NHL, among others.
Marca said on its website that the new portal will have its own apps for mobile devices, available in all operating systems.
“The passion we have in Latin America for sport must be counted, transmitted and shared with the same intensity and informative rigor to the millions of Spanish-speaking fans, thus joining the technological development of the Claro Sports platform with experience of MARCA will allow us to continue to grow as a sport benchmark in the region”, said Arturo Elias Ayub, General Manager of Multimedia and Strategic Alliances of América Móvil.
