Claro Sports and Marca to offer multi-platform coverage of Winter Olympics

Claro Sports and Marca will offer the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics in 17 countries in Latin America, through pay TV, Internet, applications and social networks. The transmission will cover more than 600 hours of live content.
From 9 to 25 February, Claro Sports will offer two channels: the first one will be the traditional Claro Sports, with coverage of football, volleyball, basketball and mixed martial arts. The second one will be Claro Sports 1, which will dedicate 24 hours a day to provide a broad coverage of all competitions, analysis programs and summaries, as well as activities, beyond sports, around the Olympic Winter Games, said Claro in a statement.
In turn, the site will offer six signals with simultaneous transmissions of all the competitions. The Marca Claro app is available free in the main mobile device application stores.
“We are very happy to start with a new Olympic adventure, especially for the innovations in technology that will allow the audience to be in control of the Games and also shares their emotions and experiences on all our platforms, since our multiplatform is really interactive,”said Arturo Elías Ayub, Director of Strategic Alliances and Contents at América Móvil.
