Chivas TV won’t close after agreement with Televisa

After agreements signed by Mexican football team Las Chivas de Guadalajara with Multimedios, TV Azteca and Televisa, OTT platform ‘Chivas TV’  directors reported officially that it will continue working, and invited to dismiss speculations surrounding an eventual disappearance of the project.

Deal signed to assign Chiva’s matches broadcasting rights on FTA brough speculations regarding possible changes in the OTT ‘Chivas TV’ platform. However, its project managers sent an email to their workers, reporting that there won’t be changes in the current operation.

Chivas TV changed its service provider recently and migrated to the Omnilife-Chivas Group in order to get a higher quality broadcast, to which Televisa, TV Azteca and Multimedios also merged.

José Luis Helguera, CEO of Chivas, has not given any official information so far on whether Chivas TV will make any changes regarding all options available to watch Mexican football team matches.
