A few months after its launch, Colombia’s Canal 1 continues to grow its audience and is already preparing its 2018 programming that will feature varied content, at different times, including national productions, Hollywood series and films, reality shows, international series and the channel’s Information System.
The new season of the competition reality show “Guerreros”, programs such as “Cobras vs Leones”, “Guerreritos”, the live magazines “Acá Entre Nos”, “Come Le Cuento”, as well as national and foreign productions, including comedies, entertainment and drama, are some of the attractions of programming for next year. This was announced by Felipe Boshell Córdoba, president of the channel, during the pre-sale ceremony, which took place last Wednesday November 22 in Bogota.
Among the new shows for 2018 are “Lo Sé Todo” and “Descontrol” (the latter is a co-production of Canal 1 in partnership with Patricio Wills of W Estudios and Univisión) and the comedy “Al fondo hay sitio”.
“In just nine weeks we went from being ranked 14th to third place, which makes us the third national channel of preference for Colombians. This has allowed our market share to continue growing week by week, with a positive trend,” said Boshell Córdoba during the event.
Today, for example, we have a share of more than 7% in total day and we have grown in each band, Day 223%, Early 430%, Prime 85% and Late 96%. The figures also show us that the time people spend watching the channel has had a growth of 53%. This news encourages us to continue working every day more, because we notice the interest of the audience, but also of the advertisers who little by little have been trusting in each of our television products,” the executive added.
