The Brazilian FTA TV channel Record signed a contract with the Portuguese technology company Vantec to renew and expand the services of virtual set, tracking and augmented reality for its studios, located in the city of Sao Paulo. Record’s virtual studio now features Stype’s RedSpy infrared tracking system that has cameras with mechanical tracking.
The commercial relationship between the two companies had started in 2012 with the London
Olympic Games. Vantec has provided since then technical and consulting services to the channel. Record Europe, based in Lisbon, Portugal, also made a similar partnership with the technology company.
Record Graphics Manager in Brazil, André Dias Arnaut, highlighted the importance of the
professionalism and technical training of Vantec’s team, as in the TV station their systems must
“operate daily with weekly live programs and this demands a high level of availability.”
