A new OTT will exclusively arrive at Brazil. This is Kinopop, a platform though to be cheaper than others in the country, with differentiated content and offered only for the Brazilian market. Kinopop was created in partnership between the BKS dubbing studio and US retail companies, whose names have not been reported. In a statement, the company expressed it aims to be ‘the cheapest of all available in the country’.
With Kinipop, subscribers will be able to access to a more than 500 movies and series catalog on up to four simultaneous devices, and available in Full HD. The OTT will also be compatible with smart TVs, Samsung TV, LG TV, Apple TV, Roku, Google Play and Apple Store.
‘Kinopop is an option for those who cannot access platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Its purpose is for the OTT to be inclusive, with quality films and series for Brazilian families’, explained Brazilian Jake Neto, VP of Programming and Acquisitions at Kinopop. ‘Therefore, the monthly subscription will be much lower compared to other OTTs, and will cost R$15 (USD 3.6), with the first month for free and up to four simultaneous accesses available’, he completed.
BKS has its audio postproduction and video production studios in San Pablo, as well as its branch offices in Miami, where it produces dubbing contents in English and Spanish, and in Chennai, India.
