BBC Worldwide expands its team in Brazil

BBC Worldwide Latin America/US Hispanic announced the expansion of the company’s team in São Paulo to better serve the growing demand for Premium British content in the region.

The changes reflect BBC Worldwide’s commitment to the Brazilian market and come after the multi-year production agreement signed with Endemol Shine Brazil.

The staffing additions to the São Paulo office include Carolina Alckmin, who is brought on board as Development Producer for Brazil. In this newly created role, Alckmin will be responsible for developing new projects and formats for the national market. She will work hand in hand with the BBC’s local production partner in Brazil, Endemol Shine and will report directly to Anna Gordon, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of BBC Worldwide Latin America and US Hispanic.

To support growing content sales in Brazil, Luiz Eduardo Silva Soares, formerly of TV Record, has recently joined the team as Digital Sales Coordinator reporting to Paula Teruko, Content Sales Manager BBC Worldwide Brazil.

BBC Worldwide is the commercial arm and wholly owned subsidiary of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
