Atresmedia launches Atrescine in Latin America

Atresmedia Internacional announced the launch of Atrescine, a new HD channel dedicated to Spanish cinema for the US Hispanic market and Latin America. The network is the result of a partnership with Video Mercury Films, the largest distributor of Spanish cinema in the world.
With a catalog that includes more than 7,000 titles, this new pay TV network joins the company’s international portfolio, along with Antena 3, Atreseries and ¡Hola! TV. The announcement was made during Natpe 2018.
The programming lineup will include classics from the 50s and 60s, and films by renowned directors. The channel will also include movies by Atresmedia, which in 2017 produced nine feature films and raised more than €30 million (USD 36.7 million), that is, 31.8% of the box office of Spanish cinema.
