Atrescine, TV channel focused on broadcasting cinematographic contents from Spain and aimed to reach the Hispanic market, announced it will be aired in Latin America through DTH operator DirectTV, on its 1519 channel (HD).
The TV channel’s catalog includes more than 7 thousand feature films, including some that date from the 1950s and 1960s, and other more recent titles such as ‘Matador’, with Pedro Almodovar, ‘La niña de tus ojos’, with Penelope Cruz, or the story of Chilean miners in ‘Los 33 de Atacama’, directed by Antonio Recio. The movie’s plot is focused on the 33 Chilean miners who were locked up in the San Jose mine after its collapse, on August 5th, 2010, and others.
‘DirecTV Latin America has traditionally been a very important partner for us’, said Mar Martinez Raposo, Atresmedia International’s Director. The channel officially informed that, thanks to this agreement, the DTH operator already integrates all Atresmedia International channels in its catalog, including Antena 3 International, Atreseries, ¡HOLA! TV and, from now, Atrescine. The TV channel is available in Oro HD (and higher) packages, and, according to what the company officially reported, it will also arrive at DirecTV Go soon. Apart from that, Atresmedia has recently announced that Atresplayer Premium, its new streaming platform, can be accessed in Latin America too.
