Argentina and Paraguay have signed a content deal that includes the broadcast of public television channel Paraguay TV on Argentina’s DTT platform, starting in October. The agreement was signed by the head of the National Information and Communication Secretariat, Fabrizio Caligaris, and the head of the Federal System of Media and Public Content of Argentina, Hernán Lombardi.
The contents of the channel will be available for four hours a day, from Monday to Friday. The launch is scheduled for October 16. Meanwhile, Caligaris told the press that it is possible that the programming of the Argentine public channel (TV Pública) will be available on Paraguay TV.
The programming of the Paraguayan channel will include Guarani language content, as well as cultural, sports and educational shows. According to Lombardi, the agreement was signed “at the best moment in the relationship in a very long time between Argentina and Paraguay” given the “extraordinary circumstance” of affinity between both governments”, Télam reported.
