Apple orders new original series

Apple has ordered a new drama series from Damien Chazelle, the Oscar-winning writer and director of “La La Land. This way, the Cupertino company keeps adding original content to its platform.
According to Apple, Chazelle would direct and write all the episodes of the new series’ first season. The director also has an agreement with Netflix – announced in September – to make the musical series “The Eddy”. In this case, Chazelle will be the executive producer but will only direct two episodes.
Apple’s new project also includes “La La Land” producers Jordan Horowitz and Fred Berger. The series will be produced by MRC, the studio behind “House of Cards” and “Ozark”.
The company also has three other show with Reese Witherspoon as a producer. One starring Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, another with Octavia Spencer and a third with Kristen Wiig, The New York Times reported.
