Claro Play launched as integrated TVE / VOD platform for its Pay-TV customers in Latin America

According what NexTV News Latam could find out, telecommunications company America Movil launched its Claro Play OTT (claroplay.com) as an own platform for free exclusive for its Pay-TV customers in the Latin American countries where it offers this service, except for Brazil.

The website integrates into a single interface the TV Everywhere (TVE) live channels and Video On Demand (VOD) contents of the services previously offered individually: Fox Play, Fox Play+, ESPN Play, Cartoon Network Go!, TNT Go, Space Go, and Hot Go, in addition to their Claro Video originals.

Claro Play is available for no additional charge only to customers of Cable TV and/or DTH operator Claro TV in Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.

The service should not be confused with subscription VOD platform Claro Video, which is offered independently in Mexico and for its mobile customers (and TV, in Brazil) in 14 Latin American countries. Claro Play doesn’t include Pay-Per-View (PPV) contents either.
