AMC Networks launches Machinima in Mexico

AMC Networks International Latin America officially announced the launch in Mexico of Machinima, the first SVOD channel in the country focused on eSports and video games. It will be available from June 30 via website and iOS/Android apps. The monthly subscription costs MX$ 19 (USD 1).

AMC Networks has already launched the SVOD channel in Spain and Portugal, and now Mexico becomes the first Latin American country to access the platform. Earlier this month, the company had already mentioned the launch in the region.

The new SVOD channel will feature Machinima original productions, such as the “Transformers: The Combiner Wars”, “BFF”, the series “The Bacca Chronicles” and eSports reality-show “Training Camp”.

According to Eduardo Zulueta, president of AMCNI – Iberia & Latin America, the launch of Machinima offers advertisers “the possibility of reaching audiences like millennials, an audience that is passionate about content specialized in video games, eSports and the heroes; they will find in this channel an attractive destination of entertainment”.
