AMC increases distribution in Brazil

AMC Networks International – Latin America announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Brazilian operators Net and Claro TV for its flagship channel AMC. This way, AMCNI adds more than six million new subscribers and triples the number of subscribers of the channel in the country.

Net is Brazil’s largest pay TV operator, while Claro TV is the third player of the market in terms of subscribers. In total, both operators had 9.5 million customers at the end of Q217. AMC is available from November 16 on channel 645 for customers with packages from Mix HD.

In addition, customers of both operators will be able to watch AMC content on demand on NOW platform, which will include seasons of original series such as “The Son”; “Halt and Catch Fire”; “Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics” and “Comic Book Men.”
