The company Millicom -branded as ‘Tigo’ in Latin America-, announced that it will include Amazon Prime Video’s series, films and documentaries catalog in Costa Rican content offering. As detailed by the company, customers will be able to have Prime Video’s content for free during the first three months. After that period, they will have a 50% discount on the following six, and from the tenth they will have to pay a USD 6 regular subscription. The offer applies to Tigo’s customers subscribed to the residential internet plan, starting at six MB.
‘Our customers need more and better exclusive content, and that is exactly what Amazon Prime Video brings. With this new service, and together with Amazon, we will expand the entertainment options with a robust titles and original series catalog, that no TV fan will want to miss’, said José Daniel Gómez, Tigo Costa Rica’s Country Manager.
The Amazon Prime Video’s catalog is added to other options available to Tigo Costa Rica’s offer, such as HBO and Golden Premier. In addition, Tigo reported that in other companies like Cabletica, customers who hire the HBO package have free access to HBO Go for free, through Cableticaplay or HBO directly. Those who choose to hire the Fox package ‘will also be able to enjoy top-quality sports content through our streaming platforms,” Cabletica reported through Jose Gutiérrez, the company’s Regulation, Communication and PR Manager.
