Amazon has launched its Fire TV Stick Basic Edition in Brazil, which turns the TV into a connected-TV and gives access to OTT applications such as Amazon Prime Video. The device will also arrive in Mexico on November 29.
“Last year, we made Amazon Prime Video available to customers globally, and we’re building on that momentum as we introduce Fire TV Stick Basic Edition to new customers around the world, “said Marc Whitten, Vice President of Amazon Fire TV.
The Fire TV Stick Basic Edition comes with a quad-core processor, HDMI port, 1GB of memory and 8GB of storage for apps and games. In Brazil, it costs R$ 290 (USD 89). In Mexico, the price is MX$ MX $ 1,299 (USD 69) and MX$ 999 (USD 53) for customers subscribed to the Amazon Prime service.
