Brazilian telecommunications company Argar Telecom has launched this month its new video streaming platform, called Vid+, which includes 2,500 titles of movies, series, documentaries and shows. Initially, it is available to Algar fixed broadband customers. The monthly subscription fee starts at R$ 14.90 (USD 4.8).
The contents are provided by Vubiquity, which features productions from major studios such as Walt Disney Pictures, Lionsgate, Miramax, Paramount and Universal. The platform also offers a T-VOD option to buy and rent movie premieres.
Vid + was developed by Algar Telecom in partnership with Comcast Technology Solutions. Initially, the service is available for the cities of Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo. It can be accessed through computers, tablets and mobile phones with iOS and Android systems.
The company had already announced in April -during the conference NexTV Series Brazil 2017- that it was going to launch the service this year.
