According to what was reported by the Pisapapeles website, the Chilean mobile operator WOM would be working on its FTTH network deployment in the country. As informed by the already mentioned website, a reader claimed to have seen technicians from the company working on the fiber optic installation in areas near the operator’s store in Coronel, near Concepcion, in Chile.Pisapapeles also reported that a second FTTH deployment was made in Ñuñoa (Santiago), and highlighted that the two cases are trial versions of the service. In this second case, a reader, identified as ‘Jose Rodriguez’, told to Pisapapeles that ‘three weeks ago, WOM’s service was installed in his home by technicians ‘from WOM’s profile’. He also reported that ‘as it is a trial version, it will offer internet for free for a 12-month period, including a 200 symmetric megabytes speed at first’, although, according to what ...
